Luang Prabang City Tour - Kuang Si Fall (B)

<p>Start the day with the tranquil morning<strong> alms-giving ceremony</strong>, an important Laotian cultural practice. After breakfast, meet your guide and go to see Luang Prabang’s most sacred sites. Wander through the beautiful rooms of the former Royal Palace, now the <strong>National Museum</strong>, and absorb the detailed beauty of <strong>Wat Xiengthong</strong>, <strong>Wat Sene Xoukharam</strong>, and <strong>Wat Visoun</strong>.</p><p>In the afternoon, you’ll leave the city’s beauty for the natural beauty of <strong>Kuang Si Waterfall</strong>. The blue pools encourage you to take a refreshing swim, so enjoy the peacefulness. On the way, visit Ban Na Ouan, a Hmong village, where you can see local traditions that have lasted a long time.</p>

Pak Ou Caves - Fly to Hanoi (B)

<p>When you checkout, leave your bags at the front desk, where they will be stored for you. At 09:30 AM, a tuk-tuk will pick you up and bring you to the boat dock, where your Mekong River adventure will start. Embark on the Nava Mekong, a traditional riverboat, and float by serene villages while watching the river life.</p><p>En route, stop at <strong>Ban Xang Hai village</strong> known for producing traditional Lao whisky. Continue to <strong>Pak Ou Caves</strong>, a pilgrimage site for devotees with many ancient Buddha images. On the return downstream, let’s enjoy a tasty Lao lunch on the boat. In Luang Prabang, pack your bags and head to the airport for the flight to Hanoi. You will be met by a driver who will take you to check into your hotel.</p><p>Dinner on your own. <p>Your day in Hanoi begins between 08:00 and 08:30 AM, as our guide and bus pick you up from your hotel for a journey through the city’s most iconic landmarks. The first stop is <strong>Tran Quoc Pagoda</strong>, a stunning Buddhist temple resting on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. Built in the 6th century, it stands as Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, offering a tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking lakeside views.</p><p>Next, we head to the <strong>Ho Chi Minh Complex</strong>, where Vietnam’s beloved leader rests. Step inside the grand mausoleum to see Uncle Ho’s embalmed body, then explore the serene gardens and two simple houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Nearby, you’ll find the <strong>One Pillar Pagoda</strong>, an architectural marvel dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. Please note that the mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, as well as for annual maintenance from June 15 to August 15. Make sure to dress respectfully, covering your shoulders and knees when visiting these sacred sites.</p><p>By mid-morning, we arrive at the <strong>Vietnam Ethnology Museum</strong>, where you’ll discover fascinating exhibits on the diverse ethnic cultures of Vietnam. If it’s a Monday, we’ll instead visit the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, which showcases inspiring stories of Vietnamese women throughout history.</p><p>At 12:45 PM, it’s time for a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant, with vegetarian options available.</p><p>The afternoon continues with a visit to the <strong>Temple of Literature</strong>, Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070. This historic site, dedicated to Confucius, has long been a symbol of education and learning in Vietnam. By 03:15 PM, we reach <strong>Hoa Lo Prison</strong>, a place of haunting history. Built by the French, this infamous prison once held Vietnamese revolutionaries and later American POWs. Known as “Hell on Earth,” it now serves as a museum, offering a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s past.</p><p>As the day winds down, we return you to your hotel at 4:30 PM. However, if you’d like to extend your experience, optional activities include a peaceful 45-minute cyclo ride through the Old Quarter, an enchanting 50-minute Water Puppet Show, or both. <p>Your Halong Bay tour begins at 08:00 – 08:30 AM with Hanoi Old Quarter pickup and travel on the new expressway. You take a break at 10:30 AM to rest before reaching Tuan Chau Harbor at noon.</p><p>Board the cruise and enjoy a buffet lunch while viewing stunning limestone rocks. At 02:00 PM, explore the fascinating <strong>Surprising Cave</strong>, then head to <strong>Titop Island</strong> to swim or ascend for a panoramic view. At 04:00 PM, engage in kayaking or a bamboo boat ride in <strong>Luon Cave</strong>‘s tranquil lagoon.</p><p>At 05:00 PM, it is time to unwind with a sunset party on board with red wine and enjoy the breathtaking view.
