<p>You will depart from <strong>Vat Xieng Thong</strong>, a sacred monastery that echoes the royal and spiritual heritage of Laos. <strong>Wat Visoun</strong>, the oldest temple in the Lao style, provides a hint of the country’s architectural history, whereas <strong>Wat Mai</strong> is the largest and most decorated temple in Luang Prabang. You will witness Asiatic black bears that have been rescued and safely housed in the sanctuary of <strong>Kuang Si Bear Rescue Center</strong>.</p><p>The trip continues to <strong>Kuang Si Falls</strong>, whose turquoise water cascades into relaxing pools, perfect for a cooling swim. During the 2-hour upstream journey to <strong>Pak Ou Caves</strong>, stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, famous for its ancient Buddha statues inside the caves.</p><p>Along the way back upstream, enjoy tasty Lao dishes onboard. At the end of the cruise, your driver will take you back to your hotel for a short break to collect your luggage. Then, you will head to the airport for your flight to <strong>Hanoi</strong>, where you will be warmly greeted on arrival.</p><p>You can have dinner at any time you feel like, and overnight in Hanoi.</p>

<p>At about 08:00 to 08:30 AM, your hotel will be visited by our guide, and a bus to start exploring Hanoi. Our first visit is to the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, the <strong>Tran Quoc Pagod</strong>a. Afterward, we will go to the <strong>Ho Chi Minh Complex</strong> so that you can see his mummified body as well as where he used to live. We will then visit the unique <strong>One Pillar Pagoda</strong> and then go to the <strong>Vietnam Ethnology Museum</strong> to learn more about the country’s 54 ethnic groups.</p><p>After lunch, go to the <strong>Temple of Literature</strong>, the first university in Vietnam. Then, visit <strong>Hoa Lo Prison</strong>, which is named “Hell on Earth” during the French colonial period.</p><p>The trip ends at around 04:30 PM when our bus drops you back at your hotel. You will have dinner on your own and stay overnight in Hanoi.</p>

A walk along the grand <strong>Terrace of Elephants</strong> reveals its role as a royal viewing platform, where kings once presided over grand ceremonies.
